Free Software - Echobox

Dear visitor/customer;

This week's free file is sort of like a workspace explorer for managing design, revisions, annotations, and comments. It can be a useful tool for all you web designers and project managers.

Design is hard to manage when you are constantly trading assets via email. In the design world, this is often a bottleneck in the design process.

Enter ECHOBOX: just drag and drop to copy your files up to the server and people connected to Echobox using the same ftp site will stay in sync and be able to participate in your workspaces. You will need an FTP account to use Echobox.

The Million Dollar Home Page

Hello everyone!

Have you heard about the Million Dollar Home Page? It is a concept that was introduced by Alex Tew of the United Kingdom. He's only 22 years old! He's called the Internet whiz-kid.

So what did he create you ask? It's such a simple idea that no one ever imagined it possible until they saw this web site. Alex created a simple web page where companies can purchase advertising space. How? By purchasing pixels on the screen. He divided the page into 1,000,000 pixels and sold each pixel for a dollar. Hence the name of the web site. Yep! He's already a millionaire! There are no pixels left to purchase!

The minimum purchase was $100.00 (100 pixels), which can be translated into an image measuring 10 x 10 pixels. The web page has become a huge mosaic of ads from companies and individuals around the world.

Quite the innovative idea! Good for you Alex. If each person took 5-10 minutes a day to brainstorm about new products, services, ideas, we would have more millionaires walking around. Unfortunately, most of us prefer sitting in front of the TV set and get bombarded by ads until we start looking like zombies!

Job well done!

Free Software - iColorFolder

Dear visitor/customer;

This week's free file is something that I've been waiting for a long time now. The Macintosh has been offering this little feature for years now. Typical!

It's called iColorFolder and it's quite useful in my opinion. With iColorFolder, you can finally give some color to WindowsXP folders. With just a right-click you have the ability to colorize your folders and discover a new intuitive way to classify your files. A quick view is now enough to identify the folder you are looking for!
